Updates

Updates on pregnancy
I decided that I need to blog about something because my last post was from when I was pregnant in the first trimester and I was a little sour towards it back then. I am nearly 18 weeks along this Sunday and should be finding out the sex of the baby within a week, or two hopefully. I am feeling much better and happier towards my pregnancy now and have a lot more energy, so I try not to gripe about things as much. I am starting to show a little bit, but my stomach looks more like I have a pooch and not a pregnancy belly yet..... It still does not feel quite real to me that another baby is coming yet, but I think it will once I get a little bigger and I start to feel the baby. =) I don't have any pictures, but I will post some later when I get big which will not be long, because I usually pop out in the 5th month.

Update o Audrey
She is doing really good and is learning and growing more and more each day. Just recently Audrey discovered her shadow and in the mornings she will go and jump on our bed when the light is out and the curtains are still closed and play with her shadow. Usually there is just a little bit of light flowing in, so that makes it perfect for her. She will jump and giggle and touch her shadow on the wall and it is the sweetest, funniest thing. Just the other day she went up to her shadow and said "Hi shadow, It's Audrey! ha ha just to cute. Other things that Audrey has learned out to do so well lately is pedaling on her little tricycle, but she has been doing really well with that since January. She is starting to tell Sean and I when she is ready for bed and she goes down without a fuss, but she has to have a gazillion toys with her..
We are getting ready to put her in a toddler bed, but I am a little nervous for how that will work out. Because she will be free to get out of bed whenever she wants, but she seems ready to move to a big girl bed. Any advice please give, because I don't think this is going to be an easy transition. I think she will like a big girl bed, but I' m wondering if it will be hard to keep her in the new bed at night.
Update on Sean
Sean is doing good these days and seems like he is ready for the semester to end. I think he gets kind of burnt out from all the pointless paperwork his professor's assign him, because he does not feel like he is learning much of anything from it. It will be better when he is in his Master's program and he can have more of a focus point towards what he is going to become in the future. Right now Sean is keeping his eyes open for different job opportunities in the nursing field and we are hoping he gets a job he applied to a week in a half ago. Because it would be really nice because it is salary based, no nights, no weekends, or holidays. We will just keep our fingers crossed and hopefully he will get it. =) He really is such a good husband/Dad and takes such good care of Audrey and I. He is always there to help me when he is at home and does not complain when I ask him for help with something. He helps me clean quite often and does chores, like the laundry, dishes, garbage duty and other things. I can't complain about that at all, but I do appreciate it so much!! Thanks babe! You are such a good husband and Dad. Oh one thing I forgot to mention about Audrey and her Daddy is she is becoming more of a daddy's girl lately, it is really sweet. She loves her daddy so much and asks for him repeatably when he leaves for work, or school and loves hanging out with him when he is home.
Anyways, I guess that almost wraps up everything I have to say. If you are still reading this far and I have not bored you, then I just want to say thanks for reading our blog.

Expecting.......

EXPECTING!!!!
Well I'm sure you can all guess what that means we are expecting a second child. I am about 14 weeks pregnant and due August 21st. I am actually getting just a little belly, so I figure the people who don't know already will begin to figure it out. At this point I am almost done with the first trimester and I can't wait to get more energy like most pregnant woman do in the second trimester. This time around being pregnant has exhausted me mentally and physically more then it did the first time around. I had morning sickness worse with the first pregnancy, but I got to sleep whenever I wanted.. Having a child already changes that and the fatigue really just wears on me and is making it hard for me to want to do anything really.. I am trying to be excited about this pregnancy, but right now I am having a hard time facing it. I know pregnancy is not always easy, so I am trying to stay positive about it and life. But I admit that I am struggling right now and hope for a burst of energy and to be more happy soon.
Any guesses on what you think the gender of the baby will be? I think that it is going to be a boy. My reason is I feel it and I had a dream about having a baby boy and holding him in my arms and it felt so real. I know people think that having dreams don't always mean something, but with Audrey I felt from the very beginning she was a girl and 3 days before we had her ultrasound I had a dream and even saw that she was a little girl. Well I guess only an ultrasound will be able to give me the final results, so I will keep you posted.
POTTY TRAINED!!!!!
Anyways, besides all that commotion we potty trained Audrey this last week within three-four days she was potty trained and I am so proud of her. The first two days were terrible, but the 3rd day it was like a light bulb clicked inside her head and she has been going ever since and is in little girl underwear. Hooray!! No more stinky diapers, until our next babe is born. Well we still put her in a diaper at night, but that is to prevent any accidents in case she goes in the night. Sometimes she actually will wake up in the night and let us know she needs to go potty. We have been trying on and off for the the last ten months to get her to go potty, so it is exciting that she has finally picked up on it.

Brush brush brush your teeth!

Audrey loves to brush her teeth, which is amazing to me. The only thing she hates is when I take over the toothbrush and deep clean her teeth for her. It is really cute because I sing a song to her while she brushes her teeth and that makes it a little more enjoyable for her. The song goes something like this "Brush, brush, brush your teeth brush them nice and clean da da da da da brush them nice and clean". I like to sing to her a lot, because she really seems to pick up on things when we sing and learns words really fast. I don't know when I'm suppose to take her to the dentist for the first time, but I hope she has no cavities when we do go. Hopefully all the brushing of her teeth will pay off.

Have a Happy New Year!!!

I am so excited for the new year! Why? Because a bunch of my favorite T.V. series will be airing in January. I am a fan of Lost, Kyle XY and I am actually excited for 24 as well. Sometimes 24 can be a little to much for me, because it is can get very violent. But I watched 24 redemption with Sean tonight and it just got my adrenaline going to know what was going to happen next. I guess I'm hooked for now. Usually, we can just record our shows with DVR and watch them when Audrey is asleep, so that helps out. Anyways, that is all I am really looking forward to with the new year approaching. I usually don't make new years resolutions, because I never keep to the goals I make. But goodluck to the people that do have goals they are hoping to reach. I hope everyone has a happy new year!! I guess it is a little late to post anything about Christmas, but I can say we had a lot of fun and Audrey loved all the new toys she got.

New Car!

So, for those of you who know me (Sean, not Megan), you know that I love Subaru's. A year and a half ago, I found a steal deal: A 2000 Subaru Legacy GT Limited edition which has been, by far, my favorite car of all time.

I've had a Honda Accord and Civic of my own up to this point and have driven many other vehicles and none have compared to this beauty.
Unfortunately, on a trip down to pick up my cousin for a BYU game, I was driving on I-15 southbound coming up on Legacy Parkway (appropraite name for my situation). I looked back in my blind spot to change lanes from the far right lane to the middle lane at the same time a truck in front of me was changing the same lanes. As I was in between both lanes, the truck in front of me swerved and by the time I saw what he swerved out of the way of, I was pretty much on top of it: A old Ford F250 spare tire that had dropped off the bottom of the truck. I tried to swerve without totally flipping my car and, well, didn't have enough room to make it out of the way and BLAM! I smashed into the surprisingly very large spare tire on my front drivers side. Ends up it busted the axle and did enough damage in other places (bumper, fender, tire, etc.) to be determined a total loss. *sniff*.
By the way, I didn't get hurt, in case you cared. Nor did I think the car was really that damaged. Stupid...
In any case, I searched and searched and searched for a Subaru similar to mine to replace it and nobody, I mean NOBODY had anything of the sort. I refuse to get another type of car, because as you Subaru drivers know, once you own a Subaru, you never go back. So I broke down and spent a lot of money (with Megan's permission, of course) on a new car. And, I must say, it was worth it.

It's a beautiful 2005 Subaru Legacy GT Limited (the most luxurious and powerful model). It has 23K miles on it, with a 2.5 liter turbo engine, 250 horse power, and a woppin' 0-60 time of 5.2 seconds. Needless to say, this is now my favorite car of all time. I just thought you all might like to know. I did.

Curly Sue

I curled Audrey's hair this week and it actually turned out really cute! Usually when I curl it her hair just falls out, but this time it stayed. I had to put moose, root booster, and hairspray in her hair and then I blow dried it. Then I curled it and put more hairspray in her hair to make the hair do stay. Poor girl probably had an itchy head. ... I wish I could do this to her hair every day, but I am to lazy.... I know this is not much of a post, but I was really proud of this hair do and I just had to put it up. I can't wait tell her hair gets longer and I can do all sorts of things with it. That is the fun of having a girl, dressing them up and doing their hair. =)

Our Washington Vacation

Audrey was done with the trip at this point, so tired.
All the main roads and basically any road you take is surrounded by trees.
It was really chilly up in the mountains
This log in the picture above me was from a tree cut down in 1964 and was discovered to be 600 yrs old!! It was huge and to think that it was that old, just boggled my mind.

Sean all by himself
My Sister Kandra and her husband Mike and Us.
A Family Picture
My Sister Kandra and Me.
Mt. Rainier, it is about 14,000 feet above sea level, if not more and it is an active Volcano, covered with glaciers and is considered to be one of the most dangerous volcanoes in the world. I actually learned a little geography, on my trip.

We went on a hike to this Waterfall in the picture up above and had such a fun time, it was so beautiful. Even though the skies our always overcast, when the sun comes out everything is so green and vibrant. But really the overcast weather made me a little tired sometimes, but being there for a few days got me used to it somewhat... It was sunny sometimes, so that made up for the overcast weather and the rain.
Audrey's Seal Pal, he was so much fun to watch.

Seattle City

Mommy and Audrey Being Silly.

Us on the cruise Ship

A Lion Fish

An Octopus
The awesome Jelly Fish

A Star Fish, so many little tentacles. It was kind of creepy.

Audrey was so happy to wake up from her nap to find this big aquarium in front of her with hundreds of fish.
The Seattle Aquarium had a scuba diver in the tank and the lady scuba diving was telling the children stories about the fish. It was really neat.

On our trip we were able to do so many things, because my sister lives in the area and knows all the fun stuff to do. We went to the Seattle aquarium and saw Jelly Fish, Octopus, Seals and Otters and a variety of fish. Audrey was in fish central and was having a blast, she even got to pet a star fish; which sort of freaked her out. Audrey also made friends with a seal and the big guy came and saw her three times right by the glass outside and would open his mouth and show its teeth, it was so cute. My favorite part of the aquarium was the Jelly Fish, I was so fascinated by there movement and just the way they floated through the water. It was really neat, because they were in this round glass thing that went in a circle above us and to the sides and beneath us, so really I could have sat there for hours just watching.
We went on a tour of Seattle on a small cruise ship around the bay which was about eight miles and it took us about an hour. It was so cold, but so worth it to see all the Seattle.
Also, we were able to visit Mt. Rainer which is actually an active Volcano, but it is covered by glaciers. It was absolutely breathtaking to see this place and all the nature surrounding it. I went with my sister Kandra and her husband Mike, so those are the other two people that you see in some of my photos. Sorry that I posted so many photos, but I just had to show you some of the neat stuff we were able to do. I would totally recommend Washington for a trip if anyone wants to go and have a fun adventure, like we did.

I have been tagged!!!

I'm suppose to post the 4th picture in my 4th album, so here it goes..
Thanks, for the tag Kariann!
Well honestly I did not check to see what photo was going to be posted before I uploaded it and it is kind of neat to get this result. This photo was in our miscellaneous album and I was not at all expecting this photo, but I am glad to be reminded of the twin towers and what happened on 9/11. I will always remember this day and the tragic events that took place and the lives that were lost....... so sad. It really makes me so grateful for the soldiers who are fighting for our country to try and prevent something like this from happening again.

I tag Kathleen, Michelle, Lori and Amber. !!!!!
Whoever, else wants to do this tag is more than welcome!!!

Fingerpainting and suckers

Megan thought it would be fun for Audrey that, instead of writing on the wall or chewing on crayons, she could do some finger painting.

This is the finished product. It really wasn't as much fingerpainting as it was slapping paint all over the place.
As you can see, she is quite proud of herself.

Then later on, Audrey somehow got ahold of a sucker that obviously wasn't for her and decided that her hair was hungry too. She wouldn't hold still long enough to get a decent picture so this is all you get.
And then I just have some random pictures that Megan took of Audrey and her cute hairstyle that Megan spends lots of time doing. It's amazing that she can get anything done with Audrey because she won't sit still for longer than a few seconds at a time. But somehow Megan can sit Audrey in the bathroom sink, give her MY toothbrush to suck on and brush the mirror with, and do her hair. You should see her hair once we pull out all the rubberbands and braids. It's even more amazing looking.

Oh, and Audrey would rather wear moms shoes than her own. Which usually means when she tries on one pair of mom's shoes, she has to try on the other 55 million pairs as well. There's pretty much no chance of organizing her shoes because of this, so there ends up being a mound 4 feet high of disorganized shoes on the floor of Megan's closet. KEEP THE DOOR SHUT MEGAN!
