Our Washington Vacation

Audrey was done with the trip at this point, so tired.
All the main roads and basically any road you take is surrounded by trees.
It was really chilly up in the mountains
This log in the picture above me was from a tree cut down in 1964 and was discovered to be 600 yrs old!! It was huge and to think that it was that old, just boggled my mind.

Sean all by himself
My Sister Kandra and her husband Mike and Us.
A Family Picture
My Sister Kandra and Me.
Mt. Rainier, it is about 14,000 feet above sea level, if not more and it is an active Volcano, covered with glaciers and is considered to be one of the most dangerous volcanoes in the world. I actually learned a little geography, on my trip.

We went on a hike to this Waterfall in the picture up above and had such a fun time, it was so beautiful. Even though the skies our always overcast, when the sun comes out everything is so green and vibrant. But really the overcast weather made me a little tired sometimes, but being there for a few days got me used to it somewhat... It was sunny sometimes, so that made up for the overcast weather and the rain.
Audrey's Seal Pal, he was so much fun to watch.

Seattle City

Mommy and Audrey Being Silly.

Us on the cruise Ship

A Lion Fish

An Octopus
The awesome Jelly Fish

A Star Fish, so many little tentacles. It was kind of creepy.

Audrey was so happy to wake up from her nap to find this big aquarium in front of her with hundreds of fish.
The Seattle Aquarium had a scuba diver in the tank and the lady scuba diving was telling the children stories about the fish. It was really neat.

On our trip we were able to do so many things, because my sister lives in the area and knows all the fun stuff to do. We went to the Seattle aquarium and saw Jelly Fish, Octopus, Seals and Otters and a variety of fish. Audrey was in fish central and was having a blast, she even got to pet a star fish; which sort of freaked her out. Audrey also made friends with a seal and the big guy came and saw her three times right by the glass outside and would open his mouth and show its teeth, it was so cute. My favorite part of the aquarium was the Jelly Fish, I was so fascinated by there movement and just the way they floated through the water. It was really neat, because they were in this round glass thing that went in a circle above us and to the sides and beneath us, so really I could have sat there for hours just watching.
We went on a tour of Seattle on a small cruise ship around the bay which was about eight miles and it took us about an hour. It was so cold, but so worth it to see all the Seattle.
Also, we were able to visit Mt. Rainer which is actually an active Volcano, but it is covered by glaciers. It was absolutely breathtaking to see this place and all the nature surrounding it. I went with my sister Kandra and her husband Mike, so those are the other two people that you see in some of my photos. Sorry that I posted so many photos, but I just had to show you some of the neat stuff we were able to do. I would totally recommend Washington for a trip if anyone wants to go and have a fun adventure, like we did.

I have been tagged!!!

I'm suppose to post the 4th picture in my 4th album, so here it goes..
Thanks, for the tag Kariann!
Well honestly I did not check to see what photo was going to be posted before I uploaded it and it is kind of neat to get this result. This photo was in our miscellaneous album and I was not at all expecting this photo, but I am glad to be reminded of the twin towers and what happened on 9/11. I will always remember this day and the tragic events that took place and the lives that were lost....... so sad. It really makes me so grateful for the soldiers who are fighting for our country to try and prevent something like this from happening again.

I tag Kathleen, Michelle, Lori and Amber. !!!!!
Whoever, else wants to do this tag is more than welcome!!!

Fingerpainting and suckers

Megan thought it would be fun for Audrey that, instead of writing on the wall or chewing on crayons, she could do some finger painting.

This is the finished product. It really wasn't as much fingerpainting as it was slapping paint all over the place.
As you can see, she is quite proud of herself.

Then later on, Audrey somehow got ahold of a sucker that obviously wasn't for her and decided that her hair was hungry too. She wouldn't hold still long enough to get a decent picture so this is all you get.
And then I just have some random pictures that Megan took of Audrey and her cute hairstyle that Megan spends lots of time doing. It's amazing that she can get anything done with Audrey because she won't sit still for longer than a few seconds at a time. But somehow Megan can sit Audrey in the bathroom sink, give her MY toothbrush to suck on and brush the mirror with, and do her hair. You should see her hair once we pull out all the rubberbands and braids. It's even more amazing looking.

Oh, and Audrey would rather wear moms shoes than her own. Which usually means when she tries on one pair of mom's shoes, she has to try on the other 55 million pairs as well. There's pretty much no chance of organizing her shoes because of this, so there ends up being a mound 4 feet high of disorganized shoes on the floor of Megan's closet. KEEP THE DOOR SHUT MEGAN!

Dangers in blogging

I decided to write a post about the dangers in blogging and staying safe. This morning I was visiting ksl news website and it talked about the dangers in blogging. I always try to be careful, but you really wonder how cautious you should be, for the safety of your family. It was saying how parents should not post pictures of there children on the internet, to protect them from predators. Also, protecting your information. I am a paranoid person, but things like this are seriously scary and I am just posting this to remind us to be careful about the things that we post. Here is a couple of questions that I thought about this morning concerning things we should think of more often.
Question:Do you know who visits your blog?
Answer: My friends and family and probably people who I do not know.
Question: Do people go around visiting blogs of people they don't know?
Answer: Yes, they are called stalkers!
Question: Do people you don't know visit your page on a daily basis, or even a couple of times a day?
Answer: I have no clue!
I know that I made this blog and that the public can have access to it, but a person can put a privacy block on there page where only friends and family can visit it. Great news!
Google has a certain tool that can track where people are coming from to visit your page, I have not set it up myself. But I will be and I think it will be quite interesting to see where a person is coming from and what they are doing when they visit my page... I know that this all sounds so extreme, but it really is a big deal to me. Because I have had comments from people I do not know and then there is no link to a blog?? Has anyone else had this?
Here are some tips I got on how to stay safe:
-Adjust settings on your blog that protect your identity and make you unsearchable.
-Guard information like your address and make sure none of your photos make it visible.
-How much information is to much? Be careful about posting your whereabouts and places you like to visit often.
-Make sure you have a password to safeguard your information.
I got these tips from the ksl news website, so visit if you like.
Obviously a person can not be completely safe, because it is the internet and people have access to your information, if you do not have a privacy block on your page. I will be getting a privacy block on my page in the near future, because stuff like this bugs me and I do not want to expose my family to much.
I admit blogging is fun and I like to put pictures of our family up, so friends and family can see them, or just see how our family is doing. But the scary thought that occurs to me is dangers like this are all around us, for instance taking a trip to the grocery store, maybe a late night drive by your self , playing at the park with your child. Be ever watchful of your surroundings. Well enough about that, I hope I did not freak anyone out.
I hope everyone is doing good and has fun during the upcoming holidays.
